Trinidad Cuba

Trinidad is a town in the province of Sancti Spíritus in central Cuba. Along with the nearby Valle de los Ingenios, it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988. The waterfalls just outside the town in Topes de Collantes are beautiful. You can reach them either by car or by taking one of the day tours offered by Cubatur. There’s also salsa dancing in the main square at night. Have a look at the colonial houses – many are open, and you can see some of the antiques from the street. Be sure to visit Casa de la Música: it’s an open-air venue with a small stage where bands play at night. There’s usually salsa music and brilliant salsa dancers there enjoying the music and dancing.
