Mandawa India

Of all the towns in the Shekhawati region, Mandawa is the best equipped for tourists, with a wealth of accommodation options and some good restaurants. It's a bit touristy (a relative term compared to other parts of Rajasthan), but this small 18th-century settlement is still a pleasant base for your haveli explorations. There's only one main thoroughfare, with narrow lanes branching off it. The easy-to-locate Hotel Mandawa Haveli is situated halfway along this street and serves as a useful point of reference. Most buses drop passengers off on the main street as well as by the bus stand.
